I was first introduced to adding Tajin to my fruit by a fruit lady in Houston who would come to my job daily shouting “Frutas! Frutas?” while selling fresh fruit. She would always ask me if I wanted to add Tajin on my mango, pineapple, or watermelon fruit bowls. One day I said sure & to my surprise, the unique contrast of sprinkling natural chili peppers, lime, & sea salt over sweet fruit made it more flavorful & tastier.
Mango & Tajin pair perfectly together, so here is a healthy DIY homemade mango Tajin smoothie you can make at home and turn into a sweet & spicy popsicle!
1 Large mango
Tajin Chili-Lime seasoning
4 Oz of fresh squeezed orange juice
1/2 a banana
Add all the mango chunks, orange juice, banana, ice, & then season with Tajin to your liking. Blend for 1 cycle, & pour the smoothie mixture into your ice molds!
